Outreach & Support Worker (Bank)

It's an exciting time to join our growing company, we are looking for casual staff to join our bank of Outreach & Support Workers. We expect to be able to offer permanent contracts to the right candidates in the near future.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience working with children and young people
  • Level 3 qualification preferred

About the role

You will lead and arrange each shift around the young person and their needs, this might be supporting with home work, attending appointments  or working on their independent skills plan. You will be flexible and adaptable to change plans at short notice depending on the needs at the time. 

You will work closely with the young person and their support network including any involved professionals, and you will promote our company values of Equality, Empowerment, Kindness and Quality at all times in your work, and you will need to be a confident communicator

At times you may need to guide and support young people displaying risk-taking behaviours, challenging behaviour, drug and alcohol misuse and violence.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role, the right candidate will have a passion for making a different to the lives of vulnerable young people, and be fully invested in providing support which is safe, supported and successful. 

Safeguarding
 

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children's & Adult's Barred List Check. 

Please note that this role involves working in regulated activity with adults adults and children. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults and children.
